Dr. Ed Jackson Jr. has over 25 years of experience in architectural planning, design, and project management. Throughout his career, he has held numerous positions of responsibility, most notably: Executive Architect for the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial Project; President / CEO of ArchD Consulting Ltd.; Director of Research for the American Institute of Architects; Senior Architect for The Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs; College Instructor for Baylor University; Director of Facilities and Senior Medical Planner for The 8th Army Surgeon General’s Office; Senior Associate for Medical Technology and Practice Patterns Institute, and Manager of Hospital Consulting Services Group of Coopers & Lybrand.
Dr. Jackson served as the Executive Architect for the Washington, DC Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial Project Foundation, Inc. Dr. Jackson’s involvement with the project began in December 1996, where he was asked to serve as Chair of the Design Committee responsible for the development and management of the largest international design competition in honor of an American citizen. He officially joined the Foundation staff in March 2001 as Executive Architect.
